Artificial intelligence already has the potential to revolutionize healthcare already in the near future. This talk introduces Dr. Hosio’s work on digital health, highlighting the convergence of AI, online labor platforms, how generative AI revolutionizes digital health prototyping, and conversational agents as scalable wellbeing solutions. As a special focus area, this talk discusses his ongoing case studies on mental health.

Simo Hosio is an Associate Professor at the University of Oulu in Finland, where he leads the Crowd Computing Research Group. He is currently visiting the University of Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Hosio specializes in human-centric digital health, focusing on solutions that leverage crowdsourced intelligence. Dr. Hosio was recently honored with the Academy of Finland Award for his pioneering spirit in science and his efforts to develop solutions for significant societal challenges.
