Student online learning participation

Two new features of LEARN@PolyU have recently released to allow class instructors to look into student online learning participation and engagement.

Student activity overview on assignment / test

Whenever a test or assignment has been set up, instructors can view the following student activity information on the Blackboard Test / Assignment:

  • The name of student who started / opened the test
  • The name of student who completed the test
  • How much time the student spent on the test from start to finish
  • The grade each student got

Follow the steps below to check the student activity overview:

  1. Click on the arrow to the right of the Blackboard Test / Assignment
  2. Click on the Student Activity from the drop-down list

  3. Refresh the page of ‘Student Activity Overview’ to get updates

Student view figures on Collaborate Ultra online class recordings

Under Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, a new ‘Recordings’ tab allows instructors to get the number of views, date and time of last view and number of downloads of Collaborate Ultra recording videos.

This new function is similar to ‘Zoom Cloud Recordings Analytics’. Instructors please visit the TLIT website for further details.
