A list of workshops covering practical use of MS Excel, video editing and game development tools will be made available in February. Students who are interested are welcome to join.

The Art of Video Editing (Davinci Resolve)

If you are new to video editing and looking for video editor that is easy to learn and quick to apply, you should attend the coming online workshop 'The Art of Video Editing'.

Using Macro in Excel

If you still perform a number of repetitive manual steps on Microsoft Excel to aggregate and format data for financial reporting, you should consider using macro to automate those manual steps.

A macro is an action or a set of actions that you can run as many times as you want for data management and formatting on Excel worksheet. In this workshop, we will cover the use of macro in Excel to analyse raw data and prepare report. Two identical online sessions will be offered on 2 and 4 Mar respectively.

Unity Basic for Students

Unity is a popular software tool that allows you to create 3D objects and build games and apps. After completion of the workshop, you can visualize and simulate different objects in 3D form, apply AR and VR technique to your gaming programme.

Interactive 2D Game Design and Development

Fungus is one of the popular toolkits for game design and development, and it is a free, open source tool for creating interactive storytelling games in Unity 3D. Fungus is designed for beginners of Unity 3D, especially for students without coding knowledge.

This workshop will introduce the advantages of using Fungus and basic skills to create an interactive 2D game in Unity by using various tools of Fungus.
