Using Zoom for students presentation

With Zoom's simultaneous screen sharing feature, class students can present from their devices in the classroom via Zoom screen share function during class.

Instructors can facilitate this by allowing students to join the Zoom meeting and share their screens from their own devices. Students can then take turns presenting their work using the classroom microphone and audio system, while their peers provide feedback and participate in discussions.

When setting up a Zoom meeting for active learning in the classroom, instructors should ensure the following:

  • The meeting settings allow all PolyU users to join.

01

  • The option for multiple participants to share their screens is enabled.

    02

  • All students are initially muted.

Additionally, remind students to turn off their microphones and speakers when joining the Zoom meeting from their devices during class to prevent audio echo.
