Assessment Moderation System

The Handbook on Academic Regulations for Taught Programmes includes a new subsection on General Assessment Regulations, with implementation guidelines set to take effect from the 2025/26 academic year.
To enable adoption and implementation, a common online Assessment Moderation System will be made available in the third quarter of 2025 to all academic departments, with functions covering:

  • Department to input departmental moderation requirements if required.
  • Heads of Units (HoU) assignment of subject leaders, moderators, and arbitrators.
  • Subject leaders / course instructors report on assessment components and initiate the moderation form, including notification to assigned moderators and arbitrators for review and resolution of issues.
  • Dashboard for HoUs / Faculties / Schools to track the progress and completion of assessment moderation.
