New module of the IT Security Online Training Course for staff is now available on LEARN@PolyU. Module 14 will cover security risks associated with Internet of Things (IoT) devices and precautions to contain information exposure.

New VPN service for replacing CTVPN

The new VPN service ‘Cloud Express’ will be available to all Mainland-based students starting form 4 January 2021. ‘Cloud Express’ service provider will have two Data Centres (located at Beijing and Shenzhen) allowing PolyU students based in Mainland to establish direct VPN connection. Both Data Centres have data circuits from three telecom carriers in Mainland (China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom). ‘Cloud Express’ provides a higher-resilience multiple-entry secure VPN service for students in Mainland cities irrespective of local Internet service providers subscribed by students.

Breakout rooms Breakout rooms allow meeting organizer to create sub-meetings in virtual meeting rooms (up to 50) within a scheduled Teams meeting for small group discussion and collaboration.
