On 22 February 2025, Ir. Prof. Wallace Lai, Associate Head of Department (Teaching) was invited to be the guest speaker for a feature talk "Seeing and Unseen Underground Utilities in 3D" at the Geospatial Lab. The talk attracted 23 participants who attended in person and 30 people participated online.

We sincerely thank all participants for their enthusiastic engagement and the support from Geospatial Lab.

This presentation explored the intricacies of Hong Kong's underground pipelines, highlighting methods to accurately locate them without excavation. During the interactive session, participants also discovered detection technologies, gaining valuable insights into the measurement and data analysis of the underground world.
