Summary
The speaker will talk about the theory and method of BeiDou wide area, real-time, precision positioning and timing services, the next generation multi-source geodetic data fusion processing software (GSTAR), and the BeiDou wide area high-precision spatiotemporal service platform. It can provide users with wide-area, accurate, and fast positioning, navigation, and time services. The positioning accuracy can reach centimeter level and traceable time service has an accuracy of better than 0.2 nanoseconds and frequency stability better than E-14. Furthermore, the speaker will introduce the research progress in the high-precision Omnipresent Positioning System which extends high precision positioning from outdoor to indoor, as well as concepts and theory of cloud positioning and fog positioning. Finally, the speaker will introduce the research on the development strategy of national navigation and spatiotemporal services, as well as thoughts on building the spatiotemporal service system of China.
Keynote Speaker
Prof. SHI Chuang
Chief Professor of Navigation Department, School of Electronic Information Engineering, Beihang University
Director of the Key Laboratory of Satellite Navigation and Mobile Communication Integration Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology
Prof. Shi has long been engaged in research on high-precision positioning, navigation, timing, and applications of BeiDou system. He has successively served as a professor at Wuhan University, a researcher at the German Research Center for Geosciences, and the director of the Wuhan University Analysis Center of the International Satellite Navigation Service (IGS). He is the leader of the expert group in the field of “Application Promotion and Industrialization” of BeiDou system, a convener in the field of "Earth Observation and Navigation" of the National Key Science and Technology Program during the 11th to the 14th National Five-Year-Plan. His research achievements have supported the construction of many major scientific projects such as the total adjustment of the national Grade A and B GPS observation network, Crustal Movement Observation Network of China (CMONOC), the National BeiDou Ground-based Augmentation System. He was awarded one first prize and two second prizes of the National Prize for Science and Technology Progress as the principal investigator of these projects. He was also funded by the National Leading Talent projects such as the National Outstanding Youth Program. He has published over 300 academic papers, and 2 monographs with a total citation count exceeding 3,500. He was granted 40 invention patents and trained over 100 master's and doctoral students.
