Formerly serving as Deputy Director of Marine Energy Development Center at the National Ocean Technology Center of the Chinese Ministry of Natural Resources, Dr Cui Lin is currently Deputy Director of Marine Technology Innovation Center - Yangtze Delta. He has mainly been engaged in research on marine renewable energy generation and offshore energy integrated utilization systems, including the use of ocean wave energy, offshore wind power, offshore photovoltaics, offshore multi-energy complementary independent power supply systems, and power supply for underwater marine energy equipment. Dr Cui is Adjunct Professor at Harbin Engineering University, serving as academic leader in the field of marine new energy at the Yantai Research Institute of Harbin Engineering University, and Adjunct Professor at Tianjin University of Technology, serving as founder of the Institute of New Energy Utilization and Intelligent Equipment. He is Initiator and Deputy Secretary-General of the Offshore Photovoltaic Professional Committee of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Marine Energy Special Committee of the China Energy Research Society. He is Executive Editor of the international journal Marine Energy Research. He is registered expert and member of several working groups of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), liaison for TC114 (Marine Energy Standards Technical Committee) and TC82 (Photovoltaic Systems Standards Technical Committee), and convener of the TC114 ahG19 Strategic Planning Working Group. He is Co- Director for the UK & China Center for Offshore Renewable Energy and will soon be Co-Director of the China-Singapore Research Center for Marine Energy.
