Biography
Dr Yixin Shao is an emeritus professor from the Department of Civil Engineering at McGill University, Canada, renowned for his extensive expertise spanning over two decades in the field of CO2 utilization in concrete. His pioneering research encompasses a diverse array of carbonation techniques, focusing on applications in precast concrete, CO2-activated slag-based cementing materials, and the synthesis of low-carbon clinker derived from solid waste. The technologies developed under Dr Shao's leadership have also been commercialized and showcased globally, including Canada, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
