The Micro Flow and Interfacial Phenomena Conference 2024 (µFIP 2024 Conference) will be hosted in Hong Kong for the first time at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), 20–24 June 2024. The Conference is sponsored by the Chemical and Biological Microsystems Society (CBMS) and co-sponsored by PolyU and the PolyU Academy for Interdisciplinary Research (PAIR). It will bring together academic, research and industry communities in the fields of thermodynamics, fluidics, bio-chemical and bio-medical engineering, and microfluidics. The interdisciplinary exchange will focus on energy applications involving microchannel flow or microscale surface phenomena. The Conference will include presentations by a line-up of distinguished scientists from around the world. Prof. Sir Andre GEIM, Professor of Condensed Matter Physics from The University of Manchester (UOM), winner of the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics, will deliver a presentation titled “Exploring 2D Empty Space”.
