Prof. Christopher CHAO, Vice President (Research and Innovation) of PolyU and Director of PReCIT, stated that the enhancement of Hong Kong's innovation and technology transformation is closely tied to deep integration with cities in the Greater Bay Area. Forming a model of collaborative cooperation between the two regions, Hong Kong focuses on the forefront of innovative research and development, while the production and application stages are carried out by the cities. PolyU has currently established technology innovation institutes in various locations, including Zhongshan and Huizhou, to integrate into broader markets.
