Students design garbage-collecting robot
A team of mechanical engineering students won the Gold Award at the ASM Technology Award 2019 with their innovative robot design which demonstrates potentials in real-life application. The robot can be transformed into an Automated Guided Vehicle for garbage collection. It features a motorised platform for navigating a compact environment, a micro-controller system for wireless communication and control, and a vision-based system for object detection and robot positioning.
