If you want some inspiration for how to improve your thinking skills, look for the “Success: Practical Thinking Skills” - a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) developed by Dr Jack Chun, Senior Teaching Fellow of Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies at PolyU, which can help elevate your way of thinking to a higher level. The course has recently been selected as a finalist for the fifth annual edX Prize for Exceptional Contributions in Online Teaching and Learning.

The MOOC introduces interesting philosophical theories of success, creative problem-solving skills and moving success stories, and has been designed with various pedagogical “entry points” like comic videos, animations, poll questions and even a tailor-made micro-movie, so as to encourage participants to become active learners. It is hoped that the course can help people succeed in work and life by empowering them with positive values for a resilient life and equipping them with powerful problem-solving skills, demonstrated by the success stories and case studies on how to excel in daily-life scenarios. It also demonstrates how you can adopt creative thinking skills in addressing the new world challenges brought on by COVID-19.

Earlier versions of this MOOC received awards as one of the Top Ten Most Popular MOOCs and Best Online Courses of All Time in 2017 and 2019 respectively from Class Central, one of the largest MOOC communities.
