Congratulations to PolyU students who teamed up to win in the Huawei ICT Competition Hong Kong SAR 2021-2022! For the first time in Hong Kong, the competition was jointly organised by Huawei and Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited, with a view to establishing an interactive platform for students, teachers, government and enterprises, and also further contributing to a sustainable talent ecosystem in the city.

After a series of online trainings and several rounds of assessments, the following two teams from PolyU were awarded the First Prize and Potential Prize respectively:

First Prize team: Polynomials

Team members: Feng Yun Lin, Zhong Xiu Ming and Tang Man Kit (students from the Department of Computing and the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics) Instructor: Dr Yang Xu, Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics

Potential Prize team: Babushka AI

Team members: Lam Ho Yin, Myrgyyassov Alisher and Dinesh Gautam (students from the Department of Computing and the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering) Instructor: Dr Li Bo, Department of Computing

The competition attracted over 300 participants from various institutions who competed for multiple awards. Local winning teams will be recommended to join the APAC regional competition.
