Vision
To be a leading research centre for the research and development of UASs and their application in smart cities in Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and the Asia-Pacific region.
The RCUAS is striving for achieving the following major objectives:
- To develop high-impact and innovative theories and algorithms in fundamental UAS areas.
- To develop and apply advanced UAS technologies based on UAVs, UGVs and UUVs.
- To support several strategic areas of existing research institutions and research centres in PolyU by providing physical UAS research and development platforms.
- To develop a synergistic alliance among academic and industry partners.
- To nurture the UAS talents of PolyU, Hong Kong, and the Greater Bay Area.
