資助計劃

江蘇省產業技術研究院 (JITRI) 為理大PI設立每年2000萬元人民幣的資金經費，為JITRI專門機構/ JITRI研究所衍生公司合作研究項目提供研究經費。資金金額取決於研究所與PI之間的共同協議。重點領域包括材料與能源環保、信息技術、生物醫藥和高端裝備製造。JIRTI已經與理大 PI展開了成功的項目。

為促進粵港創新資源共享，提升兩地自主創新能力，積極推動粵港澳大灣區國際科技創新中心建設，圍繞粵港兩地科技創新合作需求，推動項目合作研發與產業化落地。重點領域包括新一代資訊技術、半導體與積體電路、人工智能、金融科技、生物醫藥、食品安全、新材料、新能源、節能環保（大氣及水污染治理）、先進製造、海洋科學等，優先支持與新冠病毒疫情防控有關的研發專案。

The Government announced in the 2020-21 Budget that HK$200 million would be allocated for setting up the new GTF to provide better and more focused funding support for the R&D and application of decarbonisation and green technologies, so as to expedite low-carbon transformation and enhance environmental protection in Hong Kong.

In the 2019 Policy Address Supplement, the Chief Executive announced the setup of the Smart Traffic Fund (“Fund”) to provide funding support to local organisations or enterprises for conducting research and application of innovation and technology with the objectives of enhancing commuting convenience, enhancing efficiency of the road network or road space, and improving driving safety. $1 billion have been earmarked for the Fund, which commences operation in 2020-21.

The Transport Department has engaged the Hong Kong Productivity Council as the Implementation Partner to serve as the Secretariat for the Fund. The Fund aims to provide support for enterprises or organizations to conduct research and application on vehicle-related I&T with at least one of the following objectives:

Enhancing convenience of motorists;
Enhancing efficiency of the road network or road space; and
Improving driving safety.

「新基石研究員項目」於2022年4月30日正式發布。這是一項聚焦原始創新、鼓勵科學家自由探索、公益屬性的新型基礎研究資助項目。

該項目將設置「數學與物質科學」及「生物與醫學科學」兩大領域，支持在內地及港澳地區全職工作的科學家。期待這些科學家能夠提出和解決重大的科學問題，推動理論創新，領跑學科前沿，開拓新的研究方向和領域。
