Biography
Prof. Daniel Mok is an Associate Professor at the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Before joining PolyU as a Research Fellow in 1998 and was later promoted as Associate Professor, Prof. Mok worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University of Cambridge and The Chinese University of Hong Kong after obtaining his PhD degree at The University of Hong Kong in 1995.
Prof. Mok aims to establish interdisciplinary collaboration especially on seeking biological samples for analysis, thus identifying molecular pathways, effects of nutrition and different interventions involved in the aging process. His research interests include metabolomics signature of ageing and treatment of chronic diseases with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Prof. Mok had publications related to ageing in various journals such as Pathways' Frontiers in Oncology, Frontiers in Nutrition and The Spine Journal.
