Biography

Prof. Fadi AL ZOUBI obtained the PhD degree in Rehabilitation Science at McGill University, Canada in 2017. Afterwards, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher and a licensed physiotherapist in Canada. He joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences from 2020 onwards.

Prof. Al Zoubi is keen to join RISA since he believes RISA's vision of becoming a leading research institute which advances knowledge on smart ageing aligns to his research aspiration of fostering health of older adults. He also commits to contribute to foster global understanding on smart ageing. Prof. Al Zoubi has collaborated with multisectoral scholars and gave insights on the research on lower back pain, hip fractures and knee and hip osteoarthritis. His research has gained recognition through various academic awards, fellowships and grants from organizations such as the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation of Greater Montreal (CRIR)
