Biography
Prof. Jerry YEUNG is an Associate Professor at the School of Nursing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Medicine and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science (Hons) from Hong Kong Baptist University, becoming a registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner in 2004. He received his PhD degree from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2010. In 2014, he joined the School of Chinese Medicine at HKU as a Research Assistant Professor.
Prof. Yeung’s research primarily focuses on evaluating traditional Chinese medicine interventions, acupuncture and acupressure for sleep, mood disorders and chronic pain through randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews. He has contributed to the field of ageing by investigating effective interventions for older adults with cognitive impairments and knee osteoarthritis. His work has been published in international journals such as Complementary Therapies in Medicine and International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry.
