Biography
Prof. Jed MONTAYRE is the Associate Head (Strategy) and Associate Professor at the School of Nursing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also a Registered Nurse at the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Prof. Montayre has made significant impacts to promoting health ageing through research and serving at international professional organizations. He has led an international team for reviewing community-based age-friendly interventions and programs as part of the WHO and UN Decade of Healthy Ageing 2020-2030 initiative, which was commissioned and funded by the World Health Organisation. Additionally, he is the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Australasian Journal on Ageing. His contributions have garnered international recognition by receiving the Policy Program Fellowship from the Australian College of Nursing, which he was supported to initiate a project investigating the role of nurses in providing end-of-life care for older Australians in aged care settings.
By joining RISA, Prof. Montayre aims to leverage his expertise in pursuing innovative and impactful research on ageing in collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
