The Service Design Cluster Lecture features speakers from Service Design and Social Design. The lecture will provide students with a thorough understanding of design's evolution, future trends, and the importance of service design and Social Design. This combined perspective equips aspiring designers with valuable insights for both commercial and socially impactful projects.

A Service Design Journey by Mr Dwayne SERJEANT
For over 30 years, Dwayne has been involved in design, from graphic, to interactive and digital, across service and innovation. While there are many ways to colour this design journey, Dwayne will share his experiences and work across his career, with a view to the importance of service design in a variety of contexts – from startups to Corporate enterprises – and what the future of design could look like in the near future.
Social or Design? What Social Design cannot do. by Ms Sarah MUI
The lecture will cover the positioning and competencies of Social Design in practitioners' world. Sarah will share her experience carrying out projects with social purposes and observations when she is working with social designers.

Dwayne SERJEANT
Partner, wavespace Hong Kong Lead, EY
Dwayne is a Partner at EY Hong Kong and leads the EY wavespaceTM innovation centre for Hong Kong. For over 30 years he’s worked across creative and innovation, including a long tenure with Dentsu (as APAC CD & MD), and several start-ups. Dwayne holds a BA(Hons) in Graphic Design from University of Brighton (UK), and has been a jury member for many global design awards, including the One Show and the Art Directors Club (ADC), Spikes Asia and has also been a visiting lecturer across digital & interaction design at the Hong Kong PolyU School of Design.

Sarah MUI
Co-founder & Design Director, One Bite Design Studio Limited
Sarah is a catalytic architect. She brings collaborative creations that are grounded in human-design thinking, to connect people to the space in their community and strengthen the social fabric. She focuses on public space, social design and cross-disciplinary creative strategy in public space innovations in the city through her design and research works - GUTS and Urban Matters platforms. Sarah received her Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Master of Architecture from University College London in the UK. As a registered architect in Hong Kong, she is the winner of the Hong Kong Young Architect Award 2015 and has received the DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award in 2018. She is also a Certified Facilitator at LUMA Institute and a Certified Professional Facilitator at the International Association of Facilitators.
