Summary
What does the future hold for design? How can the design industry overcome future challenges and adapt?
The ‘Global Research in Design Innovation’ Exhibition and Forum presented by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design aims to bring together distinguished academic leaders to engage in dialogues and discussions. This platform aims to provide valuable insights into shaping the future of design, exploring the transformative impact of innovative design on industries, its relevance in today’s market, and its profound societal significance. The forum also discusses how we can revolutionize industries at this very moment by introducing new processes, methods, and approaches that redefine market standards in the recent AI boom.
Design holds significant social importance as it has the power to shape behaviour, improve quality of life, and address societal issues. From healthcare and education to mobility and habitation, design interventions pave the way towards a more inclusive, accessible, and sustainable future. We invite you to present and share your views on the 2024 Global Research in Design Innovation.
