In this talk, we will delve into the symptoms and causes of presbyopia and discuss how glasses and contact lenses can help address these visual challenges. We'll also provide details about the progressive spectacles trial and the multifocal contact lens trial program available to PolyU staff. This session will guide you in choosing the most suitable solution for your vision needs, helping you maintain clear vision and a high quality of life.

Senior Ophthalmic dispenser

Ms. Lau Wing Sze graduated from Diploma in Ophthalmic Dispensing at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education in 2003. She is currently working as a senior ophthalmic dispenser at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Optometry Clinic. Over the years, she has been responsible for eyeglass dispensing services and is familiar with various types of lenses and their characteristics.

Ms Cherie So

Optometrist

Ms Cherie So graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Optometry in 2020 and was named on the Dean's list. After graduation, she completed a two-year optometry residency program and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 2023. She is currently working as an optometrist at the School of Optometry at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where she is responsible for comprehensive eye examinations, specialty contact lenses fitting, and dry eye management service.
