Programme Aims
The primary purpose of the programme is to develop leaders in sustainability for fashion, textiles and creative industries in Hong Kong and mainland China, and to transform fashion, textile and creative organisations using the latest technology and management tools for sustainable growth with respect to economic, environmental and social aspects. Our graduates are expected to demonstrate professional competence, strategic thinking and lifelong learning capability.
Programme Characteristics
The MA in Sustainable Fashion and Innovation is a unique programme that integrates theories and practices of sustainability for fashion, textile and creative industries in Asia. Under the guidance of professors with expertise in the field, students are required to complete a 9-credit Capstone project that can bring impactful sustainable innovations to their company. Additionally, students will learn about the latest developments in social and environmental compliance audits. Ultimately, this programme aims to develop leaders with sustainability-oriented mindsets who can make a real impact on the world.

Bachelor’s degree (or above) holders in any disciplines (No working experience requirement, but preferences will be given to applicants with fashion industry experience and background).

Mature students with over 10 years of working experience in fashion industry will be considered as special case that needs strong justifications and School Board’s approval.
For applicants who are not native speakers of English, and whose Bachelor's degrees or equivalent qualifications are awarded by institutions where the medium of instruction is not English, they are required to obtain one of the following English language standard:

A Test of English as a foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 550 or above for the paper-based tests, OR a score of total 80 or above for the internet-based tests; OR

An overall Band score of at least 6 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
