folderIn our last issue, we have talked about how to share large files quick and easy in OneDrive for Business. One big upside of sharing documents in OneDrive for Business is co-editing / co-authoring, which means you can work on Ofice documents together with your colleagues or classmates at the same time.

In this issue, we will show you how multiple people can work together on a shared document. Just some simple steps and you can master the skill to start a co-editing/ co-authoring session in the web browser:

no1

Upload the file you would like to co-edit with your working partners to OneDrive for Business. The file should be a Word document/ Excel spreadsheet/ PowerPoint presentation/ OneNote (version 2011 or later).

no2

Share the document with your working partners with edit right. Click here to learn how to share a document.

no3

Your working partners will then receive an invitation email with a link to the shared document.

no4

They can then open the file by selecting “Open in xxx Online”.

The document will be automatically saved during co-editing. If you do not wish the document to be edited by others anymore, simply remove the edit right or stop sharing the file.

If you would like to try out this feature on your mobile device, please install the relevant apps by Microsoft Corporation.
