Hi, this is Ivy Leung. a year 4 business student who transferred from HKCC to PolyU. Transitioning from a different college, I initially felt out of my place at PolyU. The teaching style, campus life and friendships differed from what I was accustomed to at HKCC. In the first semester, I didn’t know where to seek help. However, after joining the SYA Program, I received invaluable assistance. SYA is a community of senior entry students, who guided me around campus, advised me on subject registration, and helped me plan the career path. Now, as a SYA Student Ambassador, I am glad to connect with new students and provide advice. I believe that sharing my own experience with new students can reassure them at PolyU. To my dear junior students, feel free to ask me and the SYA team with any questions you may have. I believe you will have a wonderful journey at PolyU.
