Chair Professor of Chemical Biology

Research Overview

My research interests are highly interdisciplinary at the interfaces of chemical biology, molecular probe & imaging, biomedical-labeling as well as molecular therapy and nano-theranostics engineering. Specific aims of ours are to develop and identify the "smart" small molecules, natural products, bioactive peptides and/or their analogues to solve biological and medicinal problems. We are also interested in development of new functional molecular tools and nanomaterial hybrids as chemical biology strategies for biolabeling, imaging & biosensing, drug/gene delivery or potential biomedical theranostics engineering.
