Class Ambassadors 2025

On 1 April 2025, over 130 graduating students gathered at the Wong Man and Tang Kit Wah Global Student Hub for a briefing session designed for Class Ambassadors (CAs). These newly appointed CAs connected with one another and exchanged ideas with alumni leaders and university representatives regarding alumni engagement, bringing new vibes as prospective members of the PolyU alumni community. During the briefing session, Ms Wanze Li, Assistant Director of the Alumni Affairs Office, highlighted the vital roles of CAs in various areas. She called on the final-year students to stay connected with their alma mater and actively engage their peers in diverse activities after graduation. Concurrently, Ir Yau Kwok-fai, President of the Federation of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Alumni Associations (FHKPUAA), introduced FHKPUAA’s initiatives, member alumni associations, latest development, and more, encouraging the CAs to join alumni bodies with their friends for extensive networks and broader horizons. We were also honoured to have Prof. Miranda Lou, Executive Vice President of PolyU, attend the event. She not only took photos with the CAs but also motivated them to pursue shared success with the University. She wished the graduating class a bright future and emphasised the importance of maintaining strong connections with classmates as a valuable support for PolyU. After receiving their certificates of appointment, the CAs mingled with alumni leaders and university representatives and took the initiative to share their thoughts, particularly focusing on new ideas to strengthen ties with young graduates. They marked the end of the event with inspiring group discussions. This year, over 250 final-year students from PolyU’s faculties, schools, and departments, as well as from the Hong Kong Community College, have been nominated as CAs. We sincerely thank all the units for their support. We believe that this new cohort of CAs will undoubtedly infuse fresh energy into the PolyU alumni family! Feel free to check out more photos that have been uploaded to our Facebook and Instagram.
