Learning outcomes assessment is defined as the systematic and ongoing methods of gathering, analysing and using information from various sources to measure the achievement of students' learning outcomes.

It involves valid and reliable assessment at three different levels:

Institution level assessment
  To measure the effectiveness of the University in achieveing the broader institutional mission and intended graduate outcomes
   
Programme level assessment
  To examine the effectiveness of the programme in achieveing its stated aims and objectives in terms of students' learning outcomes
   
Subject level assessment
