To effectively measure student learning, it is important and critical to select appropriate assessment methods and instruments to collect evidence that can truly reflect how well the students are achieving the intended learning outcomes. A variety of measures and data sources should be used to provide a comprehensive picture of student achievement in the intended learning outcomes. (Click each box for details) Examinations & tests Questions intended to assess learning outcomes are incorporated into examinations or tests. Course assignments Samples of student work from a variety of courses are evaluated by subject lecturers to see how well the students are meeting the knowledge and skills covered in the programme. Capstone projects Students may be required to take a capstone course during their senior year. The capstone course or project allows students to demonstrate their ability to integrate knowledge and experience acquired from their programme.
