Programme Learning Outcomes Assessment Plan

The Learning Outcomes Assessment Plan (LOAP) is a major component of Outcome-Based Education. The University has set its goal “to develop and implement institutional and departmental LOAPs for undergraduate programmes” in its Strategic Plan for 2008-2012.

The Department has started to implement its programme LOAPs in September 2009, the implementation of programme LOAPs will enable us to know the answers to the following questions:

	What proportion of our graduates is able to achieve the desired learning outcomes?
	Which of the learning outcomes of our programmes have been achieved satisfactorily and which outcomes require more effort?
	What improvement actions are needed to enhance programmes' effectiveness based on the evidences collected?
