8 Nov 2024

General

Dear Students

We hope all is well with you. As part of our commitment to staying connected with you throughout your studies, we kindly ask you to take a moment to review and update your personal profile in eStudent (http://www.polyu.edu.hk/student). Keeping your details current ensures that we can reach you whenever necessary.

Here are what you should check:

  1. Mobile Number (i.e. Hong Kong Mobile Number)
This helps us stay in touch with you easily. For non-local students, please ensure that this field contains your up-to-date Hong Kong mobile number.

  2. Home Telephone Number

  3. Correspondence Address*
This is where we will send important communications during your time at PolyU and immediately following your completion of study here.

  4. Residential Address* (i.e. Permanent Address)
Please update your residential address if it is different from your correspondence address.

  5. IDs of Instant Messaging Tools
We have recently introduced new data fields to collect IDs of Instant Messaging Tools like WeChat, WhatsApp and Instagram. Sharing these helps us communicate with you more effectively.

  6. Emergency Contact
It is important to keep your emergency contact details current in order to allow PolyU to reach your next of kin (parent/guardian if you are under the age of 18) in case of emergencies. For Chinese Mainland students, please provide this information in Chinese characters.

Please log into eStudent to review the above information. Simply go to "My Profile" > "Personal Details". If an update is necessary, please click "Update", then click "Next" and "Confirm" to save your changes.

* For those whose correspondence address and/or residential address is in Mainland China, please remember to check the “Chinese Mainland Address Format” box(es) before inputting the address(es) to ensure the proper delivery of official documents from PolyU.
