Fast-track Integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programme

Programme Overview

Starting in the 2027/28 academic year, BEEE will introduce a Fast-track Integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programme. This innovative initiative is designed to accelerate student progression by merging undergraduate and master's studies into a cohesive educational experience. It offers high-achieving students the opportunity to complete an integrated Bachelor's and Master's degree in a shorter timeframe and at reduced tuition costs. Typically, students pursue a four-year BEng (Hons) in Building Sciences and Engineering, followed by a 0.5 year MEng in Building Services Engineering, totaling approximately 4.5 years. 

Entry Path and Admission Requirements

Year 3 Entry

1.Top 10% of Year 2 students and a CGPA (as at Semester 2) at 3.30 or above; and

2. Recommended by the Programme Leader

Normal Study Duration

Students enrolled in the Fast-track programme can normally complete both the Undergraduate and Master’s Degree Programes in full-time mode within 4.5 years.  

- 4 years for the BEng(Hons) in BSE + 0.5 year for the MEng in BSE 

Level 5 master’s degree subjects to be included in the Ug curriculum

Fast-track programme students can take up to 9 credits (30% of the credit requirement of the Master’s Degree curriculum) from the Level 5 subjects within their Undergraduate curriculum, and these credits will count towards the Master’s Degree programme award.

Maintain Enrollment in the Fast-track Programme

 Students are required to maintain a CGPA of 3.30 or above to stay on the Fast-track programme.

Reduced Tuition Fees

Students will pay the Undergraduate tuition fees for both Undergraduate and Master's subjects taken during their Undergraduate study, and will pay the Master's self-financed fees minus the credits taken during their Undergraduate study.
