Direction to The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is easily accessible by various means of public transportation:
- By Mass Transit Railway (MTR)
Exit from Hung Hom MTR station Exit A1 and a footbridge connects to PolyU campus
Direction from Hung Hom Station Exit A to 3/F, Jockey Club Innovation Tower, PolyU
- By Bus
Two major bus stops around campus are Hung Hom Station and Cross Harbour Tunnel Toll Plaza (Kowloon side) - By Taxi
Three types of taxis are operating in Hong Kong: Urban red taxi, New Territories green taxi, and Lantau Island blue taxi. All three types of taxis serve Hong Kong International Airport, but ONLY Urban red taxis go to PolyU. Please visit here for the taxi fare details. Please prepare enough CASH for taking taxis.
To show the taxi driver where to go, you can show the name of the university and the venue in Chinese (Jockey Club Innovation Tower, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University: 香港理工大學 賽馬會創新樓).
IMPORTANT: The security guard at the gate would require you to get off the taxi to scan the entry QR code before the taxi enters PolyU campus. After scanning the code, you may get on the taxi and go to the Jockey Club Innovation Tower (賽馬會創新樓). You may show below photos to the taxi driver if he/she does not know the way:
1. After entering the gate, keep driving and see the below sign

2. Turn left at here to enter the Jockey Club Innovation Tower

3. Alight here and enter the lift lobby to take the lift to 3/F

From Hong Kong International Airport to PolyU
- By Airport Bus
Take CityBus route A21 and alight at the terminus Hung Hom Station, from where you can walk directly to the Harbour Plaza Metropolis Hotel. You can reach the university by entering the MTR station and find Exit A1 to PolyU. The Best Western Plus Hotel Kowloon is near the stop Granville Road, Chatham Road South. The bus operates from 5:30 am to 12:00 midnight. The fare is HK$34.6. - By Airport Express (Map - From Airport Station to Hung Hom Station)
Take Airport Express to Tsing Yi Station. At Tsing Yi Station, transfer to the Tung Chung Line to Hong Kong (Platform 4) and go to Nam Cheong.
At Nam Cheong Station, transfer to the Tuen Ma Line to Wu Kai Sha (Platform 2) and go to East Tsim Sha Tsui or Hung Hom for your hotel. PolyU is at the Exit A1 of the Hung Hom station.

You may also take Airport Express to Kowloon Station, and take a taxi to the hotel/PolyU directly. Please show the PolyU entry QR code to the security at the gate and let them know you are joining the IRSSD Scientific Meeting 2024.
From Mainland China to PolyU
- From Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau
Take the East Rail Line from Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau to Hung Hom. PolyU is at the Exit A1 of the Hung Hom station. - By High Speed Rail
Take High Speed Rail to Hong Kong West Kowloon, which provides direct access to the Tuen Ma Line Austin Station. Take the Tuen Ma Line to go to East Tsim Sha Tsui or Hung Hom for the hotel. PolyU is at the Exit A1 of the Hung Hom station.
