I truly cherished my studies in the Department of Building and Real Estate (BRE), PolyU, which has deeply elevated my learning exposure and prepared me to pursue and advance my career in the industry.

Spending a summer semester at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, one of the most notable countries on engineering, under the exchange programme focusing on transport engineering and urban planning, has certainly enriched my global perspective.

Our hands-on learning and contribution in voluntary renovation service to a special-needs primary school under the guidance of PolyU Industrial Centre’s lecturers has led our team to receive the award of Certificate of Excellence in PolyU.

Under the Mentorship programme, I was paired with a master from the field as my mentor to deepen my understanding of the construction field and work environment. After graduation, I joined Hip Hing Construction Group as Management Trainee and was promoted to be Project Manager. I participated in significant projects, such as Xiqu Centre and MiC (Modular Integrated Construction) projects. I was honoured by Construction Industry Council as the MiC Champion 2022 for my project expertise.

Serving as a Council Member in various organizations, including The Chartered Institute of Building, Construction Industry Council, Hong Kong Construction Association Young Members’ Society on youth affairs, I received the HKSAR Chief Executive’s commendation 2022 in recognition of my contributions to the industry. I am also the awardee of RICS Hong Kong Young Achiever of the Year 2021, CIOB Construction Manager Gold Winner of the Year 2020 and CIC Outstanding Construction Manager Sustainability Award 2020.

PolyU and BRE have provided a solid foundation and played a crucial role in shaping my professional pathway, which is undoubtedly instrumental in my career development.
