Dr. Min Ney Wong serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She earned her clinical credentials as a speech-language pathologist from The National University of Malaysia and completed her PhD in Speech Pathology at The University of Queensland, Australia.
Dr. Wong’s research focuses on motor speech disorders, including dysarthria, apraxia of speech and childhood apraxia of speech, as well as neurogenic language disorders. Her expertise covers a broad range of neuroscience and speech science areas. She utilises a diverse array of research methodologies, such as acoustic and kinematic analyses, ultrasound tongue imaging, magnetic resonance imaging, and non-invasive brain stimulation techniques. Additionally, Dr. Wong is actively involved in developing speech and language assessment tools tailored for Cantonese-speaking individuals with communication disorders, addressing a significant need in local speech pathology.
