As a witness and participant in the achievements of the past fifty years, the Department of Computing (COMP) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University sincerely extends a heartfelt invitation to all alumni, students, colleagues, and friends to join us in creating something truly remarkable - our own "Digital Time Capsule". This project aims to preserve your cherished memories and inspiring aspirations for the future, as we celebrate and pay homage to the incredible achievements of the past fifty years.

Over the past fifty years, COMP has undergone numerous transformations and innovations in response to changing times. We have relentlessly strived to improve human well-being and societal progress, providing quality education and delivering cutting-edge research outcomes, nurturing talents, and making valuable contributions to society.

During these golden years, countless students, scholars, partners, and friends have woven together precious moments, witnessed technological changes and moved forward hand in hand towards the next fifty years.

作為參與及見證了這五十年成果的一份子，香港理工大學電子計算學系（理大電計）誠意邀請所有校友、學生、同事及好友，一同製作出只屬於我們的「數碼時光膠囊」，集結眾人的回憶並寄語未來，以別開生面且富有意義的方式來紀念這個重要時刻。

在過去的五十年，理大電計因應時代改變經歷了多次變革、創新，一直朝著為改善人類福祉及社會進步而努力不懈，盼望通過提供優質教育及持續輸出頂尖研究成果，作育英才，貢獻社會。

在這碩果纍纍的黃金歲月裡，無數學子、學者、顆伴、摯友與理大電計共同編織出種種珍貴點滴，攜手見證科技變遷，同步邁向下個五十年。

History Library 歷史回憶庫

History Library — serves as a repository of the significant moments and stories that have shaped us, where our memories will be preserved forever. You are welcome to contribute to the history library and share your moments at PolyU. Successful story submissions will have a chance to be selected for the repository, becoming a part of our history.

歷史回憶庫 - 珍藏著屬於我們的歷史時刻與故事，讓回憶永久保存。歡迎您投稿至歷史回憶庫，向我們分享您在理大的回憶，成功投稿即有機會獲選加入回憶庫中，讓您的故事成為我們歷史的一部分。

Our History Library

Time Capsule 時光膠囊

Time Capsule — leave a hidden message for your future self and COMP, connecting your deepest thoughts and aspirations with our collective story. During the Gala Dinner on 8 November 2024, we will seal the time capsule and encrypt all the messages, starting a countdown. These messages will automatically decrypt and reveal five years later, in 2029, allowing you to reconnect with your future self and witness progress with COMP.

時光膠囊 - 給未來的您及理大電計留下隱藏訊息，把內心深處的思緒和夢想與我們共同的故事連結起來。在2024年11月8日的週年晚會上，我們會封起數碼時光膠囊，為所有訊息加密並保存，同時開始倒數計時。訊息會於5年後的2029年自動解密及公開，讓您與未來的自己重新聯繫，與理大電計共同見證進步。

1. Account Registration 用戶登記

On the homepage, click the "Register" button in the top right corner.

After clicking "CONTINUE," you will receive a verification code at the email address you provided

*We highly recommend that you register for an account using your personal email address. This is because when the hidden message is decrypted and revealed in 2029, an automatic email will be sent to your email address. This email will bring you the message from your past self.

Points to note:

To receive notifications and souvenirs, please provide a correct name and email address during registration.
Each participant is entitled to one souvenir only per task.
Souvenirs will be distributed by the organiser starting in July until all souvenirs are given out.
Participants must collect their souvenirs in person at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
In case of any dispute, the Department of Computing and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University reserve the right to make the final decision.

注意事項:

請於登記時填寫正確姓名及電郵地址，以收取通知和領取記念品。
每位參加者最多可從每個任務中獲得一份紀念品。
主辦單位會於7月起開始派發記念品，直至派發完畢。
參加者需要親身前往香港理工大學領取記念品。
