The Hong Kong Global Game Jam 2025 was successfully held at PolyU from 24 January to 26 January 2025. Over 35,000 jammers participated this year across 759 jam sites in 97 countries. The event attracted over 300 participants in Hong Kong, including students and professional game designers, who collaborated to create a remarkable 79 games. Hong Kong ranked as the fourth largest location for the Global Game Jam this year. This year’s jam theme, “Bubble,” inspired imaginative concepts and diverse gameplay experiences.
A total of seven awards were presented during the event, celebrating outstanding achievements in various categories. We are thrilled to announce that COMP students secured two prestigious awards:
