Teaching Staff

Dr Lui received his B.Sc., M.Phil. and PhD in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Hong Kong. Before joining PolyU, he was an instructor in the Department of Computer Science at the City University of Hong Kong.

Dr Lui is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computing at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.  He is the recipient of the Faculty Award in Teaching (Outstanding Award (Individual)) in 2016, the Faculty Award in Teaching (Merit Award (Team)) in 2022 and the Faculty Award in Teaching (Outstanding Award (Team)) in 2023 at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.  He has been the principal investigator (PI) of various UGC-funded projects since 2013 and has extensive experience in teaching using innovative pedagogy and developing simulation games and e-learning platforms. He has published journal and conference papers related to e-learning, simulation games, and gamification.
