Teaching Staff

Dr Jeff Tang is currently a Teaching Fellow at the Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He was previously a Senior Researcher at the Automotive Platforms and Application Systems (APAS) R&D Centre, and an Assistant Professor at local self-financing institutions. He was with the IGARASHI Design Interface Project at the University of Tokyo at Japan in 2012. He received his PhD and BEng(Hons.) degrees at the City University of Hong Kong and MSc degree at HKUST in 2012, 2003 and 2005 respectively.

Dr Tang is an young and active researcher and he has published more than 50 journal articles and refereed conference papers. He is currently serving as an Editorial Board member in Library Hi Tech (Journal). He has served as reviewer for many SCI/SSCI journals. He has served as the organising committee member for various international conferences include the flagship ones such as IEEE TENCON, IEEE TALE, ICWL, etc. His research interests include artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, computer graphics, interactive design, metaverse technologies, natural language processing, and autonomous driving technologies.
