PolyU Provost receives Distinguished Alumni Award

PolyU Deputy President and Provost Prof. Philip C.H. Chan has recently been granted the Distinguished Alumni Award by his alma mater, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). The Award is granted for his significant contribution to engineering education and technology leadership in CAD system for multi-chip module products.

Prof. Chan received his Master of Science degree and Doctor of Philosophy degree in Electrical Engineering from the UIUC. His research interests embrace VLSI devices, circuits and systems, microelectronics, electronic packaging, integrated sensors, semiconductor device and material research. He is the author and co-author of 100 journal papers and over 130 conference proceedings.
