With the support of PolyU Micro Fund Scheme, graduate Wen Zhihui of the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering has established a startup and developed a free mobile app “Chears Hearing Aid” for people with hearing difficulties. Simply functioned with a smartphone and earphones, this app works as good as the traditional hearing aid device.
The existing app features basic functions and simple operation. Users can adjust low/middle/high pitch setting and volume balance of left and right ears, as well as select indoor/outdoor/open void area as the background of adjusting pitch.
