Women in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (WiEEE) Gathering on International Women’s Day

The Women in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (WiEEE) Gathering was organized by the WiEEE Committee in the Undergraduate Teaching Laboratory on 8 March 2025. The event gathered more than 50 female undergraduate and postgraduate students, academic staff and alumni to celebrate the International Women’s Day. The participants were welcomed by Prof. C.Y. Chung, Head of the EEE Department. Ms Ziwen Pan, BEng Scheme in Electrical Engineering student and President of the WiEEE Committee, and Mr Karlen Shek, EEE alumnus and IET member, delivered speeches to share the vision of WiEEE and to encourage the students to develop their career in engineering. An interactive competition was also organized in the gathering, fostering a supportive network of growth and empowerment.
