The quantization evolutions of the SI (International systems of units) time unit "second" and length unit "meter" are introduced. Their realization methods and development trends are overviewed by taking the researches at National Institute of Metrology (NIM) as examples. The discussions on the quantization re-definitions of Ampere (electric current unit), Kelvin (temperature unit) and kilogram (mass unit) and their realization methods, which are currently under active investigations at NIM and other National Measurement institutes worldwide, are briefly introduced.
