Biography
Dr Dongmei Huang received her PhD degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2020, and joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as a Research Assistant Professor since then. In 2023, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research focuses on both fundamental physics including mode locked lasers, swept lasers, nonlinear optics, integrated optics, and applications of photonics including biomedical imaging, high resolution measurement and LiDAR, optical fiber sensing. As the PI, she has 11 grants including 8 external and 3 internal grants. As the Co-PI, she has one grant collaborating with South China University of Technology. As the Co-I, she also participated in 3 external projects. She is the guest editor of Photonics. She served as local arrangement chairs of OECC 2021 and ACP/IPOC 2022, and a TPC member of OECC 2021. She won the Young Scientist Award in Optoelectronics Global Conference (OGC) 2022 and the Best Student Paper Award in International Conference on Optical Communications and Networks (ICOCN) 2018.
