The Year 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up, which has profoundly changed the country and the livelihood of its people, creating a significant impact to the world. During this 40-year journey , Hong Kong has played a significant and unique role as our country's window to the world, bridging between the Mainland and the global markets, developing jointly with our motherland and sharing the prosperity brought about by the reform and opening-up policies.

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the Faculty of Business at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has been commissioned to organise a forum on the “Contributions of PolyU Alumni to the Country”, which is an accredited celebration event of the HKSAR Government.

With the opportunity provided by this forum, we can reminisce how PolyU and our valuable Alumni have been actively contributing to China’s reform and opening up. In this new era of China’s capital market development, Hong Kong will continue to support the country’s plans at a time of deepening domestic reforms and international connectivity. Looking ahead, PolyU will continue to capitalise on our advantages and seize the unprecedented opportunities brought by the initiatives of Greater Bay Area and Belt and Road, to advance our educational and research endeavours.

* The Forum will be conducted in Cantonese and Mandarin
