Dublin, like other major cities in the world, carries many distinct features of high globalisation. You will get the opportunity to work with key players in the international communications and logistics sectors who set up branches in, or even moved their European headquarters to Dublin.

12 July 2025 – 23 Aug 2025 (6 weeks)

Compensation:

Unpaid

Programme fee:

HKD36,400 (6 weeks) (Early bird deadline with HKD 3,500 discount: 30 Nov 2024)

Inclusive items:

Accommodation (shared apartment/homestay / student residence), airport pick-up

Visa requirement:

HKSAR Passport Holders – Visa-free
Non-HKSAR Passport Holders – Schengen Visa
Note: Students have to bear the cost of visa application

Offshore WIE Sponsorship (see guidelines)

Eligibility:

  • Year 2 or above, full-time students of UGC-funded undergraduate degree programmes
  • Aged 18 or above with valid travel document
  • Excellent English communication and writing skills
  • Highly independent, proactive, and culturally sensitive


Reference Companies and Job Descriptions:

After being nominated to our partnering organisation (
The Bloom of Youth) and accepted into the Programme, candidates will be recommended to suitable companies based on your WIE requirements, skills and experiences. Below is a list of sample business sectors and job natures (non-exhaustive). Offer will be subject to employers’ discretion.

  • Student residence or shared apartment
  • Accommodation will be allocated according to room availability and student’s work location.

Financial Assistance from GEO:

A. Offshore WIE Sponsorship (OWS) (NOT applicable for virtual internship):

  • Year 2 or above, full-time students of UGC-funded undergraduate degree programmes 
  • WIE endorsement from the academic department will be required

B. Hardship Allowance (NOT applicable for virtual internship):

  • Students with proven financial difficulties can apply for a Hardship Allowance to support expenses incurred in offshore WIE.

C. Learning Incentive

  • Students will receive a cash incentive (HK$2,300) for their efforts in maximising the WIE learning opportunities.
