Logo 590_580PolyU and the Xi’an Jiaotong University co-founded the University Alliance of the Silk Road (UASR) in 2015. PolyU is the current Vice President of the UASR. At the UASR Forum 2023, PolyU was appointed as the Alliance’s Rotating President. UASR is a non-governmental and non-profit organisation aimed at cultivating openness and international cooperation in higher education. The Alliance is currently composed of more than 150 member universities from 37 countries or regions.

logo 616_580The Harbin Institute of Technology and the Moscow Bauman National Technical University established the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU) in 2011. The Alliance is a non-profit organisation voluntarily formed by elite universities in China and Russia. The Alliance has attracted 75 universities, comprising 56 full member institutions and 19 observer institutions. PolyU is currently a member.

ANSO logoThe Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO) was established in 2018 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences with the support of 36 other national academies, research institutions, universities and international organizations from around the world. It is a comprehensive international science and technology organization established under the Belt and Road Initiative that supports achieving sustainable development from social, economic and environmental aspects. ANSO currently consists of 78 member institutions from 55 countries. PolyU is currently a member.

logo 580_580The China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Consortium of Universities is a non-governmental organisation established by universities in China and Pakistan in response to the Belt and Road Initiative and in concert with the construction of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor. The Consortium aims to promote cooperation between universities in China and Pakistan to coordinate and organise activities that cultivate talent, advance scientific research, facilitate academic exchange, and enable the delivery of social services. PolyU is currently a member.

21logo 586_580The University Consortium of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road (UCMSR), established by the Xiamen University in 2018, is a higher education consortium that upholds the Silk Road spirit of “peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit”. The members of the Consortium include 67 universities and research institutes across 20 countries and regions along the Maritime Silk Road. PolyU is currently a member.

logocroppedIn 2014, Tianjin University and Mahidol University established the ASEAN–China Network for Cooperation and Exchanges among Engineering and Technology Universities (ACNET-EngTech). The Alliance is committed to establishing a China–ASEAN international exchange and cooperation mechanism for engineering higher education; building a platform for engineering education information sharing and international academic exchange; and realising the integration of ideas, experience exchange, achievement sharing, and the development of information services. Its membership has expanded to 26 universities in 8 countries, covering top engineering universities in China and ASEAN. PolyU is currently a member.
