Summary
Take a photo of undertaking sustainable actions on campus or capturing the beauty of a sustainable campus and get the chance to win up to HK$700 bookstore vouchers and 200 GreenCoin! Submission form will be opened from 20 to 31 March 2023.
Eligibility:
- All staff and students are eligible to join
- Maximum 2 photos can be submitted per participates
- Photos must have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
How to join:
- Take a photo of (i) undertaking sustainable actions on campus or (ii) capturing the beauty of a sustainable campus.
- Complete the form and submit your photos from 20 to 31 March 2023.
How to win:
- CFSO will select 10 winners based on the relevancy of the topic: The Beauty of Sustainability and the photo quality
- Winners will be announced on or before 17 April 2023.
- Prizes:
- 10 nos. of finalists – each will be rewarded 200 GreenCoins plus bookstore vouchers equivalent to HK$200.
- The top 3 contestants will be rewarded additional bookstore vouchers equivalent to HK$500.
Terms and condition:
- Technical specifications for submitted photos
- The photo(s) must be submitted as a high-resolution JPEG / RAW / TIFF format (as high as your camera will allow).
- The photo(s) must not contain violence, profanity, sex or direct attacks on individuals or organizations. Any entries deemed offensive will be immediately disqualified.
- The photo(s) must be an original creation - no copyrighted images may be used.
- The photo(s) must be untouched and without signature/ watermark.
- The participant must certify and warrant that the submitted photo(s) does not violate the rights of a third party or any copyright. CFSO is not responsible for intellectual property violations that might have resulted through the submissions of photos.
- Judging and notification of selected photographers
- After the contest closes at 23:59 on 31 March 2023 (HKT), qualifying photos will be judged on adherence to the contest challenge through its technical quality, message expression, aesthetic composition and overall presentation. The jury’s decision is final. Any attempt by a participant to influence the result or subvert the photo competition will lead to immediate disqualification.
- The photo selected will be announced on or before 17 April 2023 and the photographer will be notified by e-mail.
- If a winner is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made to do so, CFSO reserves the right to offer the prize to the next best entry.
- Rights and ownership
- By submitting their photos to CFSO, participants agree to grant CFSO free of charge the right to use the photo in any manner and media, including without limitation, the right to publish, adapt, distribute, copy, display or translate in printed or electronic media even if they are not the winning entries.
- Prize redemption
- It is the responsibility of the participants to provide correct, up-to-date details and contact in the application form. CFSO cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information including GreenCoin ID which affects prize acceptance or delivery of their prize.
- Prizes must be accepted as offered by the named winner. There is no cash or alternative prizes, in whole or part. The prizes are not transferable and cannot be resold.
- CFSO reserves the right to verify winners and ask for proof of identity, and to withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions.
- Others
- The judges’ decision on all matters relating to the competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
- We reserve the right of final decision in case of any disputes.
